We invite you to enjoy a very special experience: for the first time, Wine Explorers will be visiting Finca Las Violetas.

Located in the Las Violetas area of Canelones, this boutique, family-run winery was created by winemaker Gastón Vitale.

​

The project was born with a clear yet ambitious goal: to craft high-quality wines with a distinctive identity, combining tradition, technology, and a deep respect for nature. Its wines are made from carefully selected grapes sourced from different wine regions of Uruguay, with the aim of expressing the personality of each terroir.

​

The winery produces an interesting variety of wines, including Albariño, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Tannat, as well as original blends and limited-edition wines.

​

Although it is a relatively young project, their wines have already received important international recognition. Among these, the Flor Violeta Albariño stands out, having won a Gold Medal at the 2024 Bacchus International Wine Competition in Madrid, and later receiving another Gold Medal at Vinalies 2026 in France. The winery has also earned recognition at competitions such as Tannat al Mundo and the Brazil Wine Challenge.

On this first Wine Explorers visit to Finca Las Violetas, we will be welcomed by Gastón Vitale, the winery’s winemaker and owner, together with his wife Karen and daughter Priscila.

​

It will be a very special and intimate experience, giving us the opportunity to hear the story behind this family project firsthand, meet the people behind the wines, and taste five of their premium labels, accompanied by a homemade lunch prepared with great care.

This is a wonderful opportunity to discover a new boutique winery that has earned recognition for the quality, personality, and authenticity of its wines.
