A Day in Garzón

 Saturday, November 15

We invite you to join us for an unforgettable day: a visit to the Colinas de Garzón olive oil plant and the spectacular Garzón Winery on an exclusive tour for Wine Explorers Uruguay.

Here are a few details about each location and the experiences we will enjoy:

Colinas de Garzón

This is the mill where the Colinas de Garzón olive oils are produced.

They have a plantation with more than a dozen different olive varieties coming from Italy, Spain, France, Israel and Argentina. All of which give their oils a unique freshness and sensory profile.

We will have a guided tour of their facilities, learn about the olive oil production process and taste three of their extra virgin olive oils accompanied by artisanal breads, cheeses, and of course some of their delicious olives as well.

Garzón Winery

Located in Maldonado, three kilometers from Pueblo Garzón and just twenty kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean, it is set on natural terraces and adapts naturally into the hilly landscape, truly making it a majestic place.

It has received numerous awards, including being recognized as the Best New World Winery by Wine Enthusiast and being included in the Top 50 Wineries in the World according to the World’s Best Vineyards 2023 awards.

The Garzon vineyards are made up of over 1,000 individual plots and as well as a building construction covering 19,050 m². Today it is a global icon, with the notable distinction of being the first sustainable winery located outside of North America.

We will take a guided tractor tour through the vineyards, followed by a tour of the winery facilities, tasting three wines from the Reserve line during the visit, accompanied by snacks.

We will finish this incredible experience with an exquisite 4-course paired lunch, prepared especially for us.
