Olive harvest, milling experience, and lunch by Chef Latoro paired with wines from Cantera Montes de Oca Winery
We invite you to experience the Olive Harvest Festival at the olive grove and mill of Olivos de las Ánimas.
Located in Maldonado, in the rural area of Pan de Azúcar (about 100 km from Montevideo), at the foot of Cerro de las Ánimas, this setting offers a truly unique landscape. The hills, olive groves, and surrounding ecosystems create the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable day in the countryside.
During the day, we will harvest olives, produce our own olive oil, and enjoy a lunch by Chef Latoro with a double pairing: premium olive oils and wines from our guest winery, Cantera Montes de Oca.
About Cantera Montes de Oca Winery:
The winery carries the essence of its founders, Fernanda Montes de Oca and Julio Cantera, a Uruguayan couple who combined not only their last names, but also their family and passion to create a project designed to stand the test of time.
Their 10 hectares of vineyards are located in Los Cerrillos (Canelones) and Peñarol Viejo (Montevideo), right next to where they live with their three daughters. They produce Viognier and Albariño, along with seven red varieties: Merlot, Tannat, Marselan, Petit Verdot, Arinarnoa, Nebbiolo, and Barbera.
In a short time, they have proven to produce exceptional wines, earning awards such as the Gran Bacchus de Oro 2024 for their Alma Terroir Tannat, “Winery Revelation of Uruguay” in the Descorchados 2022 guide, and Gran Oro at Vinalies Internationales 2025 for their Alma Terroir Albariño 2022, among others.
During lunch,we will be able to enjoy a selection of the winery's most outstanding wines.
