A night where the forest, the wine, and the sunset took center stage.

Our first event of 2026 was exactly what we imagined and even more.

Sunset, Wine & Forest was not just a dinner, nor simply a winery visit. It was a sensory experience in José Ignacio, where time seemed to stand still and everything flowed in perfect harmony with the surroundings.

A Unique Setting in José Ignacio

Arriving at LUZ for the first time with Wine Explorers was truly special for us.

This Culinary & Wine Lodge brings together nature, architecture, vineyards, and fine cuisine in an environment where every detail is thoughtfully designed to let the landscape shine. Its vineyard, an homage to sunlight and the richness of the ocean, gives birth to wines that beautifully express their maritime terroir.

LUZ wines are crafted by Compañía Uruguaya de Vinos winery with consulting by Michelini Muffato, a renowned winemaking family focused on producing wines of excellence.

The forest, the vineyard, and the architecture create an intimate and elegant atmosphere, perfect for the kind of evening we envisioned.

Sunset by the Pool: The Perfect Beginning

The experience began at sunset.

We walked through the vineyard as the sun slowly began to fade, toasted with signature cocktails where wine was the star, enjoyed a LUZ wine bar, and shared thoughtfully crafted bites designed to enhance that first magical moment.

The sky turned golden and pink, and the group began to connect with something deeper: the place itself.

It was one of those unforgettable Uruguayan sunsets.

Forest Experience: Dinner in the Heart of the Woods

As night fell, the magic moved into the heart of the forest.

A beautifully set table awaited us among the trees, surrounded by soft lighting and an energy that’s hard to put into words. The Forest Experience was a seven-course wine-paired dinner created especially for the occasion, where gastronomy, wine, and nature blended seamlessly.

Each dish was paired with LUZ wines.

It was an intimate experience, curated down to the smallest detail, one that you feel in your body and carry with you long after the night ends.

When Wine Connects People

Local Explorers and longtime friends shared the table with new guests who chose to experience something different.

Once again, we confirmed that wine is a universal language, and that wine tourism experiences in Uruguay become something truly special when shared in community, in a carefully curated setting, with a proposal thoughtfully designed from beginning to end.
