On October 1st we lived an unforgettable experience at City Winery Montevideo, the new venue created by the Pizzorno siblings, where wine, gastronomy, and Uruguayan culture come together in perfect harmony.
An immersive dinner that blended history, flavors, and great wines in a truly unique setting..
City Winery is the latest project by Clara and Francisco Pizzorno, the fourth generation of the charming Bodega Pizzorno family winery.
Located right in the heart of the capital, it brings together an industrial-style winery, a restaurant, and an interactive space dedicated to wine and Uruguayan culture.
We began the evening on their rooftop with an immersive experience called “Show Vino 360” — a virtual journey through the history of Uruguayan viticulture, narrated by the Pizzorno family themselves.
After that, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner, specially designed for the occasion, paired with a great selection of wines from the winery.
Welcome glass:
Pizzorno Natural Sparkling Wine
Step 1: Trio of fresh fish nigirisWine: Don Próspero Sauvignon Blanc
Step 2: Baby squid, blood sausage, and creamy potatoesWine: Pizzorno Reserva Albariño – aged 3 months in French oak
Step 3: Braised lamb shank with polenta texturesWine: Golden Reserva Tannat – aged 18 months in French oak
Step 4: Basque cakeWine: Pizzorno Red Wine Liqueur*
A proposal that beautifully combined flavors, history, and great wines.
A huge thank-you to the entire City Winery team for their warmth and impeccable service.
And endless thanks to all our friends — from Uruguay and around the world — who join us on every adventure and make the magic of our events possible.
People often ask how we manage to create such a wonderful energy at our experiences, and the answer is always the same: it’s you.
See you next time!
Cheers!
